Development Event Support

Position title: Development Event Support - Part Time
Reports to: Vice President, Institutional Advancement

The Atlanta Botanical Garden Development Department is seeking a part-time, fundraising events support person for ten (10) hours per week. This position will report to the Development Manager and primarily support the Development Officer of Fundraising Events and functions related to the Atlanta Botanical Garden Flower Show, Garden of Eden Ball, Garden for Connoisseurs Tour, and Explorer’s Plant Auction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with communication & coordination between Development Officer of Fundraising Events, Garden staff and event chairs
Schedule meetings and facilitate meeting set-up
Assist with management of event timeline
Support of fundraising mailings
Other duties as necessary to support event planning and execution

Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a professional office environment, excellent organization and planning skills, strong verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve, work collaboratively and with enthusiasm and flexibility. Strong written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comfortably interact with donors and manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficient with Microsoft Office, and Google Docs, Sheets, Drive.
