His 2026  appointment marks a return to the restaurant where he began his career and a full-circle moment in a culinary journey that has taken him through some of the country’s most acclaimed kitchens. \nA graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta\, Goetzman got his start in the Aria kitchen under founding chef-owner Gerry Klaskala\, where he developed an early appreciation for the discipline\, hospitality and attention to detail that continue to define the restaurant today. He later expanded his culinary perspective through experience at Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry in Napa Valley\, EL Ideas and Acadia in Chicago\, and Atlanta’s MICHELIN-starred Lazy Betty. \nRaised in Alabama\, Goetzman discovered his passion for cooking at an early age while spending time in the kitchen with his grandmother and later working in restaurants as a teenager. He also credits his early years at acclaimed chef Frank Stitt’s Highlands Bar & Grill in Birmingham with helping shape the work ethic and professional standards that continue to guide his approach to leadership. \nAt the core of Goetzman’s culinary philosophy is the idea of transformation. He is drawn to the process of taking exceptional ingredients and\, through technique\, attention and care\, creating dishes that feel both refined and comforting. He believes great restaurants are built not only on food\, but on culture\, consistency and a shared commitment to excellence. \nAs executive chef\, Goetzman is focused on preserving the essence of what has made Aria a beloved Atlanta institution while thoughtfully guiding its continued evolution.  \n“Aria has such a strong identity and sense of place\,” says Goetzman. “I believe the best restaurants stay true to who they are while continuing to grow and evolve. That balance of consistency and curiosity is what keeps them meaningful to guests over time.” \nHis approach honors the restaurant’s longstanding identity and sense of place while embracing opportunities for growth\, ensuring that Aria remains as meaningful to future generations of guests as it has been for the past two decades. \nAbout ARIA\n\nAria is a Buckhead destination for modern American cuisine\, known for seasonal ingredients\, refined technique and an award-winning wine program. The restaurant pairs thoughtful craft with genuine hospitality to create memorable evenings in an inviting setting. Aria is located at 490 East Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead. SUMMARY:Frog Feeding
DESCRIPTION:Saturdays at 10 a.m.: Drop by the Fuqua Conservatory lobby to watch the frogs jump into action when presented with their meals. An amphibian specialist will share fun facts and answer questions about these captivating creatures. \nPublic frog feedings allow visitors to observe one of the most interesting aspects of these amphibians – their feeding behaviors. Most frogs have long sticky tongues that shoot out at prey. Some\, like Poison frogs\, are able to do this with such incredible speed and accuracy that all visitors notice are flies disappearing. Others\, like the fringed leaf frog\, are dramatic feeders that stuff the crickets into their mouths with their hands.

SUMMARY:Garden Chef Demo: Pamela D. Jones Mack
DESCRIPTION:Select days at 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. during the Fall. In the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen\, the Garden Chef Demos showcase fresh seasonal fruits\, vegetables and herbs in simple and mouthwatering recipes. Be inspired to try something new the next time you cook. For fresh inspiration\, see a list of all recipes showcased on the Garden Chef Recipes webpage. \n\nAbout Chef Pamela D. Jones Mack \n \n\n\n\n\nPamela D. Jones Mack was born and raised in Cross\, South Carolina\, a small town about 30 miles outside Charleston in the Gullah region. Pamela has loved cooking since childhood. As the oldest of four girls with two working parents\, she was responsible for preparing meals for her three younger sisters. \nAfter graduating from Morris College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration\, she moved to Atlanta\, where she has lived for the past 26 years. Pamela’s love of cooking has stayed with her\, and she regularly hosts Sunday dinners at her home. After much encouragement from family and friends\, Pamela decided to start her own catering business\, and Taste of Satira was born. \nShe named her business after her great-grandmother\, Satira Gethers. Pamela remembers watching her great-grandmother in the kitchen as a little girl\, where she taught her eight aunts how to prepare Gullah cuisine. \nHer catering business offers boutique catering services\, weekly meal preparation and basic cooking instruction. Pamela is also a spice provisioner of Gullah spice blends. In 2019\, she won Best in Food at Garden & Gun’s Made in the South Awards. \nPamela loves exploring all kinds of cuisines\, but she always returns to her Gullah Geechee roots. Preparing the food her grandmother and great-grandmother taught her and her daughters reminds her of family and the joy they shared in preparing and enjoying meals together. \nPamela has adopted her great-grandmother’s mantra: “Let me love you with my food!” \n\n\n\n\nFree with Garden Admission \nSee the Full Lineup
