October 10: Garden Beer Launch Party

On October 10 enjoy a special Fest-of-Ale celebrating the launch of Garden Beer Season 2!

Garden Beer is brewed in collaboration with Wild Heaven Beer and features botanicals and ingredients inspired by and harvested from the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The second Garden Beer offering, Season 2, is a floral golden ale accented with hints of peach, scuppernongs, and basil.

During the Garden Beer launch party, enjoy the following festivities:

• Live bluegrass performances on the Great Lawn
• An inflatable pub in front of the Garden’s Conservatory
• Enjoy beer flights at the Great Lawn bar
• A Build-Your-Own-Pretzel Bar in the Parterre Garden
• Polka dancers in the Skyline Garden
• Specialty food offerings in the Skyline Garden
• A limited beer-centric menu in Longleaf Resturant featuring light bites and complimenting brews


October 24: Great-Pumpkin Carving Contest

The Great PumpkinCarving Contest is a festive family affair for all ages, celebrating all the delights the autumn season has to offer. The Contest kicks off at 7 p.m. on the Great Lawn during Fest-of-Ale.

Activities for the evening include:

• The Haunted “Maize,” a family-friendly trick-or-treat filled haunted corn maze in the Edible Garden
• Outdoor Movie Screenings, featuring seasonal film favorites on a giant outdoor screen in the Rose Garden
• The Ghost Hunt Children’s Activity, where children can hunt for handcrafted candy ghosts among the winding paths of the Perennial Garden
• A Cornucopia-making station where you can design, create, and take home your own autumn-inspired centerpiece
• A gaming midway featuring carnival themed amusements like Duck Pond, Pop-a-Shot, Ring Toss, Dunk Tank and more
• Seasonal light bites inspired by vintage carnival fare
• Signature Cocktails and Beer Sampling Flights
• Entertaining magicians and face-painters
• Live paintings and tunes from talented artists, DJ’s and musicians
