The Gainesville Garden will feature rare, unusual and hard to find woodland perennials, as well as many for the sunny border. Woody shrubs and trees including big leaf Magnolia, Oakleaf Hydrangeas and the hard to find evergreen Dogwood will also be highlighted. Along with these great perennial offerings the Garden will offer a wide variety of unusual annuals as well.
You may have seen many of these growing in the annual displays in Gainesville and Atlanta. Elephant ears, Coleus, Abutilon, Acalypha, Begonias and many more will be featured. Most of the plants were propagated and grown at Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville greenhouses.
The Spring Woodland Ramble & Craft Market will also be taking place on April 20, so be sure to stop by and browse a selection of arts & crafts by local artisans. The market features many nature-themed items as well as upcycled materials. Food trucks will be on hand for lunch and snacks.
