How Your Gift
Supports Conservation

Behind the scenes at the Garden, the Conservation & Research team is deeply committed to preserving rare and endangered plants and amphibians.

Your gift provides funding for critical conservation work involving projects to safe-guard and recover plant species ranging from the Monkey Face Orchid, Bucket Orchid and Kentucky Ladyslipper to the Cigar Orchid and the herbaceous perennial Tennessee Yellow Eyed Grass. Contributions also support the restoration of unique, species-rich bog habitats native to Georgia and the Southeast.

More than one-third of the world’s amphibian species is threatened or endangered. Your gift enables the amphibian team to breed threatened frogs in captivity, conduct field research on emerging infectious amphibian diseases in Georgia and stabilize declining populations of Georgia’s native Gopher Frog.
