Creating Exhibitions Using Design Thinking

Presented by: Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta History Center and the High Museum of Art

Date: Saturday, January 27, 2024 9:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Location: Atlanta History Center

Discover how the five phases of the design thinking process — empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test – were used in the creation of interactive exhibits at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Atlanta History Center and the High Museum of Art. We’ll discuss ways cultural institutions engage audiences, encourage thoughtful discussion and convey information through hands-on experiences. We’ll also explore how your students can do the same through the creation of their own exhibition. What topics could your students explore through the design of an interactive exhibition experience?  Parking at the Atlanta History Center is free. Directions to the AHC can be found using this link.
