Mountain Gordlinia is the result of crossing two U.S. native plants from the same plant family but with different genera. These include Gordonia lasianthus and the rare Franklinia alatamaha. The result is a semi-evergreen large shrub/small tree with large white blooms with yellow centers that blooms on and off from mid-summer until frost.
