Ron Determann
Determann is a well known and respected horticulturist and conservationist. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture. His horticulture and conservation experience ranges from public and private gardens to established university greenhouses. Originally from the Netherlands, Determann travels frequently to collect new and endangered plant species for research and propagation. Since 1987, he has been responsible for maintaining and advancing the Garden’s Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory. In 2013 the Garden Club of America awarded him the Eloise Payne Luquer Medal of Honor for special achievement in the field of botany.
