Meet the Team

Sathid Pankaew

Sathid Pankaew is a Plant Digitization Assistant in the Conservation and Research Department and works with the Atlanta Botanical Garden team on photography and our growing database of plants.

Sathid’s undergraduate studies were in Environmental Science, Policy and Management at the University of California at Berkeley, with a minor in Art Practice. He is interested in the co-evolution of plants with species from other kingdoms, and the use of indigenous plants in landscaping, agriculture and conservation. His background includes work as a biological illustrator for Essig Museum of Entomology, as well as evidence-based behavior modification with domestic animals.

In his free time, Sathid enjoys exploring the outdoors with his four-footed and two-footed family and consuming science fiction and fantasy.
