Tanner Biggers
Tanner Biggers is the new Conservation Horticulture Nursery Manager at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. He studied Biology and Environmental Science at the University of North Georgia and has several years of experience propagating and rearing native plants in the nursery industry. He is particularly interested in troubleshooting notoriously difficult plants to propagate and is avid about learning new methods to break seed dormancy and achieve successful germination. Tanner's passion for plant conservation, combined with his love of native plants has led him to pursue a career in protecting the Southeast's most imperiled plant species.
When Tanner isn't at work safeguarding rare plants, he enjoys hiking, whitewater kayaking, and finding new places to adventure. Tanner is thrilled to be a part of the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Conservation team and is looking forward to making a positive impact on the livelihoods of our region's unique and biodiverse native plant species.
