Orchids of the showy genera Oncidium, Dendrobium, and Cattleya are adapted to climates with variable annual temperatures and rainfall. These plants often require higher light levels and more consideration of their seasonal growth habits than other beginner household orchids. This course will explore the cultural requirements for successfully growing and blooming species and hybrids of these groups in a home environment.
