Garden Beer

Fountains aren’t the only thing flowing at the Garden.

Garden Beer, a series of exclusive brews crafted in collaboration with Atlanta brewery Wild Heaven Beer, features seasonal flavors and ingredients inspired by the Garden. Established in spring 2019, Garden Beer is developed with the expertise of Amanda Bennett, Atlanta Botanical Garden Vice President, Horticulture & Collections and Wild Heaven Beer Brewmaster Eric Johnson.

“It is truly an honor to collaborate with one of our favorite Atlanta attractions, and I can’t think of a better brewer for it than my partner Eric, who is a renowned horticulturist in his own right,” said Nick Purdy, President of Wild Heaven.

New seasons of Garden Beer are typically released three times each year using seasonal ingredients and are available for a limited time only.

Season 1:
Spring 2019

Golden Ale. 6% ABV. Makrut lime leaves harvested from the Fuqua Conservatory, hints of hibiscus and lemongrass. 

Season 2:
Summer 2019

Golden Ale. 6% ABV. Peach, basil from the Edible Garden, scuppernong.

Season 3:
Holiday 2019

Golden Ale. 6% ABV. Rose hips, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice.

Season 4:
Spring/Summer 2020

Golden Ale. 6% ABV. Strawberry, rosemary, camellia tea.

Season 5:
Fall/Winter 2020

Golden Ale. 6% ABV. Cocoa nibs, pomegranate, ginger, vanilla, star anise.

Season 6:
Spring 2021

Saison. 6% ABV. Fingered citron, Mint.

Season 7:
Summer 2021

Farmhouse ale. 6% ABV. Raspberry, prickly pear, lemon verbena.

Season 8:
Fall/Winter 2021

Spiced Porter. 6% ABV. Coffee, cardamom, nutmeg.

Season 9:
Spring 2022

Floral Saison. 6% ABV. Nasturtium, cornflower, sumac.

Season 10:
Summer 2022

Red Ale. 5.5%ABV. Basil, pineapple sage and orange.

Season 11:
Winter2022

Mole Porter. 6.5% ABV. Cacao, nutmeg and ancho chile.

Season 12:
Spring 2023

Belgian White Ale. 5.5% ABV. Cucumber, toasted sesame and lemon thyme.

Season 13:
Summer 2023

Pale Ale. 5% ABV. Scuppernong, Sorghum, Honeydew, and Grapefruit Peel.

Season 14:
Fall/Winter 2024

Spiced hard cider. 5% ABV. Allspice, Clove, Orange Peel, and Cinnamon.

Season 15:
Summer 2024

Sour Hefeweizen. 5.5% ABV. Lemongrass, satsuma and roselle.

Season 16:
Fall 2024

Hoppy Lager. 5% ABV. Pineapple, tamarind and hops.

Season 17:
Winter 2024

Stout. 7% ABV. Green cardamom and ancho chile.
