This bright pink shrub can reach 3 feet high and can spread up to 4 feet long. Best in full sun and medium soil moisture, the cultivar 'Gamad I' is both drought-tolerant and resistant to fugal leaf spots and powdery mildew. The genus (Lagerstroemia), was named after the Swedish botanist, Magnus von Lagerstroem.
