Join us as we celebrate the 2023 Great Southeast Pollinator Census, counting pollinators throughout Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina on August 18 and 19. The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. Residents across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina will be counting all of the pollinators that they can find in their environment. This event is a great opportunity to learn more about the different types of pollinators in our environment. As a special addition, we have Giant Arrowhead Plants for sale as a beautiful addition to any aquatic garden, pond margin, or boggy area of your home garden.
If you would like to participate in guided counting, please join us at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 18. If you are unable to attend the guided counting event, you can still participate! Just ask the front desk for the information and count away anywhere you’d like within the garden or elsewhere on either day. All participants who count within the Garden will receive a guest pass to the Gainesville Garden for their efforts (not valid at the Atlanta location.) Just turn in your count sheet at the front desk to collect your gift.
Schedule: Friday, August 18 – Saturday, August 19
