Willow Mar

Willow is the Field Biologist for the American the Beautiful Challenge in Deer Lake State Park, in the Florida Gulf Coast. She is a scientist at heart, driven by curiosity and a deep sense of responsibility to the natural world. Her background is in Environmental Science and Marine Biology, with a focus on coastal ecosystems and conservation biology. Her work has taken her through field research, conservation and restoration, always rooted in a desire to understand and protect vulnerable habitats.

Willow grew up in the Andes mountains, immersed in nature and shaped by the wisdom on Indigenous communities. She developed a deep respect for all living beings ad the interconnectedness of life. Outside of work, she finds joy in being in nature and creative expression. Art allows her to experience and interpret nature in a more intuitive, emotional way. What she values most about working with ABG is being part of a community that truly cares. One that sees the intrinsic worth of every living being and works with intention to protect and restore it. Being part of that effort feels both meaningful and deeply grounding.
