Mackenzie Sconyers

Mackenzie is one of our Florida field biologists who works on the Nokuse Land Conservancy. She conducts plant and herpetofauna surveys, maps habitat, and assists in the implementation of prescribed fire. She holds a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation & Management from Auburn University. She has spent the last decade working for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, monitoring threatened & endangered species, conducting prescribed fire and restoring ephemeral wetland habitat.

Outside of work, she enjoys birding, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite aspect of working with botanical gardens is her involvement in helping to conserve the diverse flora and fauna of the Florida Panhandle.
