Francisca Venegas

Francisca is the Seed Bank Lab Technician. She originally is from Santiago de Chile, Chile. She holds a bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering and has also studied Linguistics Applied to translation in English, Japanese and Portuguese. 

In her free time, she enjoys all things related to gardening from design and planning to cooking the harvest. She also enjoys playing video games, watching anime and listening to podcasts on History and Gardening.

Francisca loves that botanical gardens are able to bring the world’s plant diversity into a single location. This allows us to learn about their habitats, their importance or simply appreciate their beauty. As for her own work, she loves that a minuscule little living thing can grow into such amazing plants! Being part of an effort to conserve endangered species native to the Southeast, makes her feel both proud and fulfilled.
