Jeff Killingsworth

Jeff is a Senior Conservation Horticulturist with the Conservation & Research team at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, having previously worked for the gardens with the Horticulture team. Prior to working at the garden Jeff was the manager of a native plant nursery for many years where he learned how to propagate and care for all manner of southeastern native plants. Before working with plants Jeff worked in the field of Archaeology, pivoting with a growing passion for working with plants and communicating the importance and fun of planting to the public. He is from Tallahassee, Florida originally, graduating from Florida State University in 2003 and living in Atlanta for the past 15 years. In his free time, Jeff enjoys hiking, backpacking, cooking, and going for walks with his wife and their two Beagles.
