Justin Peterman, M.S.

Justin is the Conservation Horticulture Outreach and Metacollection Specialist. He focuses primarily on unifying conservation practices in the Caribbean and the southeastern United States through information sharing, workshops, and trainings. As well he works to develop regional metacollections, or the collective holdings of plant species across institutions. Justin’s background is as a nurseryman, but his experience extends to Orchid restoration in Chiapas, Mexico, fire ecology in south Georgia, and research into why it is difficult to implement interesting ecological solutions under market dynamics. He is a native of Atlanta and in his spare time he can be found reading or walking.
