Join us for a day of fall family fun! This festive event offers music performances, pumpkin decorating, a ride-on-train, pony rides and more. Costumes encouraged!

“Music Party” with Travis Murphy 

11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Join us for Travis Murphy’s musical adventure as he explores different sounds, movements and silly lyrics with interactive elements. Mr. Travis has taught music to hundreds of preschool-aged children every week for the past 10 years in and around Atlanta. He also tours professionally with his band. Bring a blanket or ground cover if desired.

Children’s Ride-on-Train 

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

$5 per passenger ($3 members), plus tax. Credit card only. Adults should accompany children 0-3 years old. Children 4+ are encouraged to ride alone if comfortable. Please note: the Ride-on-Train does not run during inclement weather. Last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m.

Pony Ride

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

$6 per passenger ($4 members), plus tax. Credit card only. Children only. Please note: the Pony Rides do not run during inclement weather. Last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m.

Mini Pumpkin Decorating

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.*

Journey to Literacy

Junior League of Atlanta’s Journey to Literacy is a hands-on program presented throughout the community to help raise awareness of the importance of early childhood education and to teach caregivers effective methods to develop early literacy skills.

Garden Chef Demos: Ilene Rouamvongsor

12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

In the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen, the Garden Chef showcases fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs in simple and mouthwatering recipes. Be inspired to try something new the next time you cook.

Ilene Rouamvongsor
Edible Garden Chef, Atlanta Botanical Garden

Ilene Rouamvongsor is a seasoned cook of 15 years. She is first generation Laotian American, which means she grew up in a world of multiculturalism with Lao and Southern roots strongly celebrated through food. Ilene believes that through sharing food, barriers are broken and not only does food nourish your body, but it also brings together community. She invests time in tying together, feeding and educating people in culinary knowledge and experiences, and is always welcoming any hungry person for a bowl of goodness!
