This workshop will focus on different adaptations plants use to spread their seeds far and wide. Students will engage in an inquiry based lesson designing and testing their own dispersal mechanism and create a suet feeder for their backyard birds.
Homeschool Workshops offer families a guided classroom experience investigating the connections found among nature, science and art. Each focuses on Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as well as crosscutting concepts led by a certified Georgia science educator.
- Audience: Families with Children ages 7-12, students under the age of 7 will not be allowed to participate in workshops.
- One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults will be required to pay regular admission unless they are a member
