Contributing-level and above members are invited to enjoy a behind-the-scenes presentation by Loy Xingwen, Conservation Ecology Coordinator, and Max Kotelnicki, Conservation Display Garden Horticulturist. Loy and Max will speak about the busy ecosystem that is supported by the Southeastern native plant species in the Conservation Display Garden. For several years, records have been kept of all the visiting wildlife, from songbirds and skinks to bees and beetles, and those records have become a guiding principle in the management of that garden. Informing decisions with observational data maximizes the potential for creating a dynamic and captivating display for patrons and wildlife alike.
Join Loy and Max to hear about what they have learned and how this web of life is encouraged to grow.
Schedule: Monday, March 4, 5:30 – 8 p.m.
