Oncidium, Dendrobium and Cattleya orchids are adapted to climates with intermittent rainfall and have evolved specialized organs to store water. These plants require higher light levels than are found in typical homes. This class examines the cultural requirements of this group of orchids and their adaptation to the home environment.
