Many of the vegetable varieties we use today have been passed down from generation to generation, but some find the art of seed saving difficult, intimidating or time-consuming. Come explore the various parts of the seed, plant selection, collecting, preparing and storing seeds helping to build confidence in this time-honored aspect of regenerative agriculture. If you have seeds to swap or share, bring them along.
Join us at the Stone Mountain Community Garden for Plant. Eat. Repeat. In partnership with Food Well Alliance, the Garden’s own, Moe Hemmings, will teach you to create your own seed packets to collect and share various seeds.
