About the Ball

To commemorate the Garden’s 50th Anniversary, the 2026 Garden of Eden Ball will honor all former members of the Atlanta Botanical Garden Board of Trustees for their support and commitment, which have colored the Garden’s history and been fundamental to its success. Chaired by Robin and Marc Pollack, the annual Garden of Eden Ball is a not-to-be-missed gala. The evening, which begins with cocktails at sunset, features floral décor fit for a botanical garden, a grand seated dinner, and dancing overlooking the Atlanta skyline in a tented ballroom on the Great Lawn. As the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s premier fundraising event, the Garden of Eden Ball attracts community, business and social leaders in support of the Garden’s mission.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden gratefully accepts gifts from Donor Advised Funds (DAF). If you would like to apply a DAF grant toward support of the Garden of Eden Ball, you are required by law to waive benefits associated with that donation. Benefits that will be waived include, but are not limited to, seats at the Garden of Eden Ball, Garden guest passes, and invitations to special events & previews. Gifts made through these giving vehicles will therefore be recorded as declining benefits. Bifurcation* of gifts is not permitted, per IRS guidelines. Gifts made through family foundations and charitable IRA distributions are acknowledged detailing goods and services received if benefits are not declined. Please consult with your tax advisor if you have any questions.

*In the context of donations and DAFs, “bifurcation” refers to a “split gift” or donation where a portion of the gift is treated as tax-deductible and another portion is not. An example of gift bifurcation would be considering the portion of a contribution that covers the cost of the event (food, entertainment, etc.) as a benefit to the donor, while considering the portion that goes directly to the charity as tax-deductible. Because DAFs are prohibited from facilitating bifurcated donations, a donor cannot use a DAF to pay for the tax-deductible portion of a gift while using personal funds for the non-tax-deductible portion, such as the value of an event ticket.
