Autumn in the Gainesville Garden offers a cornucopia of fun festive activities for visitors of all ages with Scarecrows in the Garden, Goblins in the Garden, Wine in the Woodlands and more.
Scarecrows in the Gainesville Garden
October 1 – November 3: Discover creative scarecrows by hand-crafted by local artists, organizations and businesses displayed throughout the Garden.
Wine in the Woodlands: Fest-of-Ale
October 31: As part of the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s annual Fest-of-Ale tradition, the Gainesville Garden will be celebrating beer and ale during October’s Wine in Woodlands with live music and complimentary light bites.
Goblins in the Garden
October 27: Join the fun with costume runway shows, hands-on crafts, a magician, the giant walking Treeman and a hot dog stand during this festive event.
Explore a Woodland Oasis
The Garden in Gainesville features nationally recognized collections of maples, magnolias, witch hazels and hydrangeas and is home to one of the largest conservation nurseries in the Southeast where several endangered plant species are propagated.
Enjoy the beautiful autumn weather, colors of the season and magnificent views of the surrounding forest with a walk along one of the numerous paths winding throughout the Garden.
