Evergreen Magnolia Hybrid

Scientific Name: Magnolia yuyuanensis x Magnolia insignis

Origin: Both species are native to parts of Asia

Family: Magnoliaceae

Bloom time: Early summer

This is a fairly new hybrid that has performed very well here in the southeastern U.S. Expect them to reach heights of about 25 to 30 feet. In early summer they are adorned with numerous 3- to 4-inch pink flowers that are very unique for an evergreen magnolia. The amphitheater features multiple seedlings from this cross.
