Celebrate the arrival of fall with a day of family fun at the Gainesville Garden. Enjoy live music, a mini-market, hands-on crafts and the debut of Scarecrows in the Garden — all included with Garden admission.

NEW! Pumpkin-Carving Contest

Watch amateur carvers compete live during FallFest, or better yet, join the fun! Applications to be a carver open Aug. 24 – Sept. 25.

Selected competitors receive two (2) guest tickets to FallFest. The winner takes home a Garden Golden Ticket — a year of Gainesville Garden events, including Gainesville Glows, JuneFest, the Spring Exhibit, Music in the Garden, FallFest and one Atlanta Garden event.

Live Music
Miss Gail’s Jumpin’ Jam Band
brings family-friendly tunes to the Children’s Garden at 11 a.m. Gold Country Players (NE Georgia Foothills Dulcimer Association) perform throughout the Garden. DJ JB Jams keeps the energy going throughout the day.

Entertainment
Get a funny caricature drawing by Top Notch Toons in the Overlook Garden. The Quinlan Visual Arts Center hosts artists in the Glade Garden. Visit the UGA Insect Zoo table, explore the Leave the Leaves Curiosity Cart and scavenger hunt, and learn more about Garden conservation with members from the team. Celebrate autumn with a seasonal take-and-make craft.

Mini-Market
Shop a curated lineup of vendors on the event lawn, including Everlasting Links, Rock My Zen and T&T Plants and Things.

Food & Drink
Beer, wine and sodas are available for purchase throughout the Garden, including a pour of Garden Beer.

Scarecrows in the Garden

FallFest kicks off Scarecrows in the Gainesville Garden, the annual exhibition of community-contributed scarecrows.
