This new event will provide enjoyment for the entire family. Speak with beekeepers and monarch experts while enjoying live music, refreshments and children’s entertainment, including face painting, games and performances by Miss Gail’s Jumpin’ Jam Band. Enjoy an exclusive tour of the current Glass in Flight exhibition with artist Alex Heveri.
- Miss Gail’s Jumpin’ Jam Band | 10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. | Join us in the Children’s Garden for a fun, family-friendly performance to get you moving and grooving.
- Artist Interview with Alex Hervari | 12 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Nationally known sculptor Alex Heveri shares her journey of creating the Garden’s current exhibit, Glass in Flight. From the 7-foot praying mantis to the 6-foot beehive, Alex will share her process of making her pollinator sculptures. This experience will fill up quick, so be sure to sign up onsite upon arrival.
- Humming Bird Competition | 1:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. | Showcase your creativity in the amphitheater with a fancy hummingbird headpiece and compete to attract these beautiful creatures. We will have the hummingbird food supplied for your craftiest masterpiece. First to entice a hummingbird wins a fabulous prize!
