Each Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. during Spring, Summer and Fall. In the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen, the Garden Chef Demos showcase fresh seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs in simple and mouthwatering recipes. Be inspired to try something new the next time you cook. For fresh inspiration, see a list of all recipes showcased on the Garden Chef Recipes webpage.

Natalie Firmin-Chavez is a mixed, first-generation Latina living at the intersection of her Mexican-German-American culture, world travel, and local food. She’s an educational chef, local food advocate, and marketing strategist who allows the seasons to inspire her plant-forward cuisine. Her food journey began by growing up in her family’s Oaxacan restaurants in New England, followed by a career in Urban Agriculture, where she learned to connect deeply with where her food comes from. She’s been a pop-up chef, caterer, and full-time restaurateur alongside her now husband. She’s certified in Food Therapy and believes deeply in food’s power to heal while still being ridiculously delicious. Today, she shares her passion for flavor-punching, intuitive cuisine via educational demos at farmers’ markets and the Atlanta Botanical Garden, as well as on her blog and social media platforms.
