Supplement your life science, botanical and environmental studies curriculum with a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Garden. In the Fuqua Conservatory, discover a lush tropical rainforest, make observations on unique orchids and marvel at bizarre succulents from South Africa and Madagascar. Tip-toe through the treetops on the Kendeda Canopy Walk and visit the Edible Garden to learn more about the plants we eat. Grade-specific, self-guided materials will be available in the Visitor Center and volunteers will be around the Garden introducing students to interesting phenomenon.
Don’t miss Shows for Seedlings: Passport: A Journey Through African and Diaspora Cultural Arts with Djoli Kelen! Performances take place at 10 and 10:45 a.m. on the Great Lawn. Djoli Kelen Inc. is the only non-profit Intergenerational Cultural Arts Collective in the country. Djoli Kelen will take you and your little ones on a journey of Traditional African and Diaspora Cultural Arts to spark curiosity through dance, music, and storytelling.
Parking and sales tax not included. No outside food or drink.
