As chef de cuisine at the Woodall, Karl Gorline is creating exceptional new American-style dishes with rich flavors and specialties that lure guests to order “outside the box.” Gorline, who brings more than two decades of culinary experience to his role, describes his cuisine as eclectic but familiar and comfortable.

He got his start in hospitality in Ocean Springs and Jackson, Mississippi. Shortly after, he moved to New Orleans at age 28 to serve as the executive chef of August. His recent roles in Atlanta include chef de cuisine at Watershed before moving to a sous chef position at Atlas at The St. Regis. He also served as executive chef and culinary director for ETR Group (Girl Diver and Char Korean Bar & Grill), and recently competed on Food Network’s “Chopped.” In 2023, Gorline was selected as a Georgia Grown Executive Chef.
