Travel to the heart of Southern Italy as Chefs Nancy Waldeck, Taste and Savor and Crystal Leach, The Sweet Life, showcase the region’s timeless recipes, seasonal ingredients, and celebrated wines. Discover the techniques, traditions, and flavors that make Southern Italian cuisine one of the world’s most beloved culinary traditions while enjoying a thoughtfully prepared four-course dinner. Each course is expertly paired with a Southern Italian wine, creating a memorable evening of delicious food, exceptional wines, and the stories that bring them together.

About Crystal Leach

Crystal Leach spent almost 20 years in the corporate world, and then realized that what was once a weekend pursuit and avocation had become increasingly important to her – so she decided to take the leap and focus on her passion for baking and pastry. In 2013, she completed an intensive pastry arts course at L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie near Lyon, France and an internship in Paris. Crystal is now a frequent chef-instructor at Atlanta’s Cooks Warehouse, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, John C. Campbell Folk School and other cooking schools in the region. Passionate about expanding access to fresh, local food, she actively supports nonprofit organizations such as the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, Georgia Organics, the Athens Farmers Market, and Wholesome Wave. www.thesweetlifega.com
About Nancy Waldeck

Healthy Chef Partyologist Nancy Waldeck is a culinary educator and innovator. Her fun, creative and smart approach to food, wine and entertaining are inspiring to those eager to cook and eat better and confidently enjoy wine. Well-traveled in her pursuit of helping others, she delivers over a hundred classes and events a year. Rancho La Puerta, The John C. Campbell Folk School, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology and U.S. embassies in Burundi, Moscow, and Paris have all welcomed her imaginative twist on food and wine. Her frequent globetrotting created Taste and Savor Travels, sharing the world of wine and food with small groups of interested explorers. In addition, a certified Emory Health Coach, she teaches in a variety of corporate settings like Google and Porsche USA, for healthcare institutions like Piedmont Hospitals and Florida Blue, plus a number of respected culinary schools. As a media veteran, she hosts a cooking show on Atlanta public television and enjoys sharing creative tips and techniques about healthy cooking on NBC TV’s Atlanta and Company. As a breast cancer survivor and thriver, she is especially happy to share good food and wine with the Beverly Foundation and friends.
